Lightning rod

The purpose of the lightning rod is to protect buildings, property and, in particular, people from the undesired effects of atmospheric discharges, from high-impact lightning strikes with immediate disruptive effects on the object hit. When lightning strikes the protected object, it is safely conducted directly into the ground.
